This semester CURB is hosting three Sarah Lawrence College students for internships with our research and education programs. Please see below for more details about each position:

Kinza Siddiqui – Teaching the Environment Intern

Kinza’s internship began during the summer, helping with the development and facilitation of our weeklong Teaching the Environment professional development workshop. She also assisted with other summer programs including our children’s garden program with the Lanza Learning Center. This semester Kinza is splitting her time between remote work and on-site assistance with daily school programs.

Ishika Joshi – SLICE Intern

Ishika began her time with CURB as a seining and eel migration volunteer during the 2021 – 2022 sampling season. She now joins the team as the Sarah Lawrence Interdisciplinary Collective on the Environment (SLICE) intern for the fall and spring semesters. Ishika is working directly with SLICE faculty to connect students to CURB and other local community groups. She is also assisting with a variety of K-12 education, research, and community programs in parallel with initiatives that other organizations are developing.

Rachel Lynch – Research & Education Intern

Rachel also got her feet wet at CURB by volunteering with our eel and seining research during the 2021 – 2022 season. This semester she is working with staff in multiple areas including seining research, education program help, aquarium maintenance, gardening, and social media content creation.
